Fast scheduling

A tight service area means we can usually get out to look at the job within days, not weeks.

Stamped concrete lets you get the look of brick, flagstone or cobblestone at a lower cost and with less long-term maintenance than the real material. It works well on patios, walkways and even driveways, and the color and pattern options are wide enough to match almost any house style in Omaha.

The part people don't always realize is that a stamped slab still needs the exact same base prep, air-entrained mix and control joints as plain concrete. The stamping is a surface finish, not a shortcut on the fundamentals underneath it.

How stamped concrete is finished

Once the concrete is poured and reaches the right stage of stiffness, we press textured stamps into the surface to create the pattern, then apply color hardener and release agent to get depth and variation instead of a flat, uniform tone. Timing matters here. Stamp too early and the pattern won't hold its shape, too late and the concrete is too stiff to take an impression at all.

Pattern and color options

We can match a pattern to what's already on your property or go with something new entirely.

  • Ashlar slate and flagstone patterns
  • Running bond and herringbone brick patterns
  • Cobblestone and fieldstone textures
  • Integral and antiqued color combinations

Maintaining a stamped or decorative slab

Sealing is more important on stamped concrete than plain gray concrete, since it protects both the color and the texture from salt and weather. We recommend resealing every few years depending on traffic and sun exposure, which also makes cleaning easier since dirt and stains sit on top of the sealer instead of soaking into the concrete itself.

Common questions

Stamped & Decorative Concrete questions we hear in Omaha

It can, under the same conditions, poor base prep or missing control joints. We build stamped slabs with the same base and joint layout as any other pour, and we work joint lines into the pattern design so they blend in rather than stand out.
